Most cases can be treated in three weeks. Extreme cases of fear, insecurity, would need four. Board and train is the most cost effective and transformational training that owners can invest in for the lifetime of the dog. It is ideal for dogs of all ages beginning at only at 5 months old if the pup is properly crate trained. Board and train offers a solid foundation for dogs with no real behavioral issues; just owners wanting someone else to train the dog. It’s also great for dogs with low, moderate or severe behavioral problems where the dog needs a “reset” and so does the owner. I always stress that no dog is "done" when it leaves here, I need to teach you how to continue what I've done to help the dog become the best it can be. Behaviors I modify can include leash reactivity, marking, nipping, mouthing, barking, counter surfing, fear and fear aggression (case dependent), anxiety, jumping on people, resource guarding (protecting food or toys) selective hearing and so much more! I will also train the dog to work off leash with a e collar. Depending on the dog and it's behavioral issues, off leash can mean no leash required in the home or back yard, or it can mean no leash required to go on walks, hikes or play in the greenbelt! The communication and freedom a e collar can give your dog is immeasurable and is literally life changing for you both! The drop off of your dog takes about a half hour. The pick up takes approximately 3 hours where I transfer the information and technique over to you along with the strategies to continue your dogs success. While your dog is here, you get text updates/videos every day. Most of what we talk about at the pick up is also written up for you in a document customized for your dog that you can refer back to if your brain is on overload! And of course, I am your biggest ally and want you and your dog to succeed! My phone/text support and a personal visit to your home if needed is available the whole life of the dog-as long as I know you are sticking with the post training protocol and trying your best. I live in Dewey, Arizona on 2.17 acres. That is about 15 minutes from Prescott Valley. My husband and I built our home to accomodate my business. My back yard is fenced and the gate doors are always padlocked and I'm the only one who knows the code so the gates cannot be accidentally left open! I have a dog shower, a dog room (kennel) which is attached to the house and has air conditioning and heat, a state of the art fire suppression system (plumis.com), treadmill, crates and a camera. Music is always playing for the dogs. You should see the view from the dog room. Trust me, it's a place even you would want to stay! I'm really proud of it and will give you a tour if you ask! We hike and socialize and go on field trips. It's a fantastic experience for your dog. A $500 deposit is required at time of booking to hold your dogs spot and the balance is due at drop off. Regularly, the trainees, boarders and my personal dogs are Placed together! This promotes calmness, impulse control and socializing all at the same time!

Dogs that are a good fit for each other will also have healthy, safe, controlled socializing. *Dog aggressive dogs may or may not be able to reach this level of socializing while at DDTAZ and it is up to my discretion*
I personally customize a pick up information sheet for each dog and email it to you, for your review prior to pickup. You also get some branded goodies like a new leash and a DDTAZ remote!
